As a member of the Pet Care Services Association, Onion Creek Kennels exist to provide comprehensive pet care services to area pet owners while maintaining the highest possible standards in quarters, staff and services; and to provide leadership, guidance and career goal setting to those entering the pet care industry.  Onion Creek Kennels staff have all completed the PCSA Certified Pet Care Technician Program.  This program is designed to teach the basic principles of animal care, kennel management and customer relations procedures.  Onion Creek Kennels is proud to be recognized as a current member of the Pet Care Services Association, formally known as the American Boarding Kennel Association.  Our kennel’s membership in PCSA is a public commitment to ethical practices, and your assurance that we are subject to the PCSA Ethics Program.

We offer overnight pet care, daycare, grooming and transport for dogs and cats.  We also offer care services for small exotics, birds and fish.

Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, Bearded Collie, Beauceron, Belgian Malinois, Belgian Sheepdog, Belgian Tervuren, Bernese Mountain Dog, Border Collie, Bouviers des Flandres, Briard, Canaan Dog, Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Collie, German Shepherd Dog, Giant Schnauzer, Great Swiss Mountain Dog, Icelandic Sheepdog, Kerry Blue Terrier, Norwegian Buhund, Old English Sheepdog, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Puli, Pyrenean Shepherd, Rottweiler, Samoyeds, Shetland Sheepdog, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Standard Schnauzer, Swedish Vallhund

Please note:  All dogs must be at least 6 months or older to participate.  No prior exposure to sheep is necessary for instinct test.  Owners need not be a member of a club or organization.  Event will be held outdoors...Rain or shine.

AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing.  October 30, 2010

Entry Fee:  $10.00

All dogs, including both purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome to participate.  Must have proof of Rabies Certificate.  The dog must wear a well-fitted buckle/slip collar of leather or fabric.  Testing will be performed by AKC registered evaluator, Diane Myers.  Qualifying dogs will receive a copy of the test form which can be sent to AKC with a $5.00 recording fee to receive AKC's Official CGC Certificate suitable for framing.

New to our TLC Program...Your dog will enjoy a 15-20 minute stroll through our pooch friendly neighborhood with one of our  PCSA Certified Pet Care Technicians.  This is a great amenity for long term campers or even those just needing a change of scenery during their visit with us.  Fee:  $10.00 for each 15-20 minute session
